Balnagore - Sleeps 11
3 double, 2 twin, 1 single
Balnagore is a traditional sandstone former farmhouse built at the end of the 19th century, and sleeps up to 11 people.
The house sits within its’ own grounds on the edge of Machrie Moor, less than a mile from the Neolithic Standing Stone Circles.
Balnagore is accessed via a private drive, and provides ample parking for several cars.
"Comfortable and homely accommodation with fabulous views from every window."
The spacious main sitting room has an open fire with the unusual feature of a west facing picture window above it. This view looks over the Kilbrannan Sound towards Kintyre, affording wonderful views of Machrie’s stunning sunsets.
A flat screen TV with Sky Freeview is provided, as well as a DVD player.
At the opposite end of the sitting room is the dining area, which leads into the kitchen.
The fully-fitted kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave. A coffee maker, cafetiere, slow-cooker and food processor are also provided.
Off the kitchen is the scullery, with a washing machine, tumble drier, fridge, chest freezer and iron; and also cloakroom and shower facilities.
Beyond the kitchen is a smaller, second sitting room, also with an open fire. The pay telephone is located here.
Balnagore has 3 double, 2 twin and 1 single bedrooms sleeping up to 11 people.
The ground floor master bedroom has a king-sized bed and an open fire with double aspect windows providing views of the garden and the hills to the north.
There is a bathroom adjacent to the master bedroom.
Upstairs, the main farmhouse comprises a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single room with a 2’ 6” bed.
There is a bathroom with a hand-held shower attachment over the bath.
Above the main sitting room there is another twin bedroom, and a dormitory room containing a double and two single beds. There is no loo or hand-basin upstairs in this part of the house.
