The kitchen is also equipped with additional appliances such as a coffee maker, cafetière and slow-cooker. Adjoining the kitchen, you’ll find a convenient utility room housing a washing machine, tumble dryer, additional fridge, chest freezer, and iron. The kitchen seamlessly leads into the dining area, creating a perfect space for memorable gatherings with family and friends.

Lounge areas

Balnagore offers two inviting lounge areas, each exuding warmth and comfort, making them the perfect spots for relaxation and quality time with loved ones. The spacious main sitting room features an open fire, beautifully complemented by a west-facing picture window that frames the stunning views of the Kilbrannan Sound and Kintyre, allowing you to enjoy Machrie’s magical sunsets right from the comfort of the sofa. Entertainment is provided in the form of a flat-screen TV with Sky (Satellite TV channels) and a DVD player, ensuring guests have a variety of options for a cozy movie night in.

For those seeking a more intimate setting, Balnagore also offers a smaller, second sitting room – a snug retreat where you can curl up with a good book by the open fire. This space also houses the pay telephone, adding a touch of convenience to your stay. Balnagore’s thoughtfully designed bedrooms provide a peaceful haven for guests after a day of adventure on the Isle of Arran. The farmhouse comfortably accommodates up to 11 people across 3 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms, and 1 single bedroom. The ground floor features a master bedroom with a king-sized bed, an open fire, and double aspect windows, offering serene views of the garden and the hills to the north. An adjacent bathroom provides added convenience.

Upstairs, the main farmhouse includes a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a single room furnished with a 2’6″ bed. These rooms share a bathroom equipped with a hand-held shower attachment over the bath. Additionally, above the main sitting room, there is another twin bedroom and a dormitory room containing a double and two single beds. Please note that there is no toilet or hand basin in this part of the house.

Outside
