Balnagore – August 2023
A lovely property with stunning views and plenty of space. Location is great for views and local walks but a little out of the way for the main places such as Brodick. Highly recommended though and we will be back.

Lovely "farmhouse" feel to the property with lots of space to spread out and relax. The outlook is superb and the enclosed garden is great for dogs.

The house and garden were bigger than the photos suggested. A lovely location, 5 five-minute walk from the beach, less than 10 minutes drive to Blackwaterfoot beach and a twenty-minute drive to Brodick. Nick and Laura took very good care of us, also.

My family have stayed at Cairnfield over many years. Ages range from 6 to over 80, and Cairnfield offers comfort and beautiful surroundings for all ages. We have booked again for next year with every confidence that we will not be disappointed.
Rowanbank – July 2023
It was a lovely relaxing stay.in a beautifull location. We really enjoyed Rowenbank, including the comforatable acomodation but especially the location with the track down to the beach and the views. We would love to return and will hopefully be in touch soon. Many thanks again John
Rowanbank – August 2023
The house was super clean , really well laid out , the table kitchen area was huge and the door area for all the boots and jackets and general bags you have to bring on a self catering holiday was ideal Living room cosy , we used the fire and the views out from back garden fantastic . They have some basics in the cottage which is ideal like washing up liquid , binbags , general essentials . If you had small kids/dogs just watch the road as it’s a hidden entrance to the front of the house with no gate , but the massive back door garden is fully enclosed . The walk down the beautiful lane to the beach is about a 10 min stroll , easier with tide out as it can be quite rocky/ slippy but if you go left it’s easier to manage and enter the beach at the small White House . The beach is wild and beautiful, the house is really peaceful , Blackwaterfoot village only 10 mins if that in the car . The small bed off the back of the large double room is actually fine for an adult to sleep in . We loved this house and we have been allover Arran but will definitely be back here ❤️
Balnagore – June 2023
This house was ideal for our multi-generational family gathering for my birthday. Virtually three wings to the property so everyone could "escape" if necessary. Quirky layout but worked for us, dogs inculded. Large enclosed garden was ideal for children and dogs, and the views were outstanding especially at sunset. Wi-fi was limited to "snug" and kitchen, but this was a bonus! But phone signal was good. We enjoyed all the "family" furniture and ornaments. Well equipped generally. The three rating reflected the "dormitory" beds - they were too soft. And the lack of a door was very inconvenient especially in the evening as everything in large living room could be heard. Overall, I would strongly recommend this property - it soon felt like home.
Cairnfield – June 2023
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Cairnfield. It is a very easy house to feel relaxed in; lots of space both inside and out and with a comfortable "lived in" feel, but also all very fresh and clean. Communications beforehand with both Clare and Laura were excellent and the setting and views were stunning. We'd like to return!
Rowanbank – June 2023
We had yet another lovely stay in Rowanbank visiting family. We were lucky to have such fabulous weather so made the most of the gorgeous garden, which is a suntrap. Rowanbank has everything you need for a self catering holiday with a very well equipped kitchen. It has become our favourite place to stay on this beautiful island.

Fantastic outlook… cool in very hot weather… generously appointed.. about the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Spacious. No complaints at all.

Rowanbank is a lovely, comfortable and peaceful 'home from home' with a great garden and super views. The new, wooden garden furniture this year is a nice addition. The house caretakers, Laura and Nick, could not be more welcoming, accommodating and helpful. Many thanks.
Balnagore – April 23
We had a relaxing time at Balnagore, the old farmhouse was everything we had anticipated. Large comfy sofas and an open fire, just what we wanted. Open countryside surrounding us with sheep and pheasants. Overall, a great stay.
Cairnfield – April 2023
We had 8 adults and 2 dogs and the house and garden were ideal. Everything needed was there. Well equipped kitchen , large sitting room with superb views Good mix of bedrooms to provide flexibility, 2 en-suite and a further 2 shower rooms. We didn’t use dining room as kitchen has a large table. Small sitting room has the TV and we temporarily moved it to the bigger room and used the smaller room for quiet reading. We had football and rounders in the large garden and the dogs loved it. Short walk to very quite stony beach with stunning views. The caretakers were very helpful when needed and picked up our party members who came on public transport as there was a road closure. Overall one of the best properties we have stayed in if you like a rural location but only 4 miles to Blackwaterfoot which has everything you would need, shop , bakers, butcher and hotel. Good walks locally without having to drive far. Electricity is charged separately here which we knew about ( we turned off bedroom heaters) but do be prepared for a large bill as everything is electric and the pre set hours mean it is on for many hours each day . Would definitely book again
